Downtown Wichita Falls Farmers Market now accepts WIC and Senior vouchers! Access to fresh and healthy foods is our goal. We have are now a Certified Farmers Market through Texas Department of Agriculture that allows us to partner with the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank for the Farmers Market Nutrition Program. The program runs May 1 through September 30.
Redeem your Farmers Market Nutrition Program vouchers at the market(8th& Ohio) each Saturday from 9am – 1pm.
To be eligible, an applicant must meet the following criteria:
- be 60 years of age or older
- live at or below 185% of the poverty level
- reside in one of the 12 counties of the Food Bank’s service area:
Archer, Baylor, Clay, Foard, Haskell, Jack, Knox, Montague, Throckmorton, Wichita, Wilbarger or Young counties
- OR be a qualifying WIC participant
Receive your vouchers by taking your WIC approved shopping list to the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank and redeem for fresh veggies and fruit at the Downtown Wichita Falls Farmers Market on Saturdays from 9am – 1pm.
Wichita Falls Area Food Bank will be at the the Farmers Market the first Saturday of each month(May – September) to distribute Senior vouchers from 9am – 12pm. You can also get vouchers at the Martin Luther King Center(1100 Smith Street) and the North Texas Food Pantry(905 Tyler). Vouchers can be redeemed at the Downtown Wichita Falls Farmers Market every Saturday from 9am – 1pm.
