Kid Biz is Saturday, October 7 from 9AM to 1PM at the Downtown Wichita Falls Farmers Market. This market is created to celebrate and encourage young entrepreneurs in our community! Young people can learn about the power of entrepreneurship, innovation and leadership through experiential learning. First 30 Kid Biz entrants will receive an “I am an entrepreneur!” t-shirt sponsored by Texoma Community Credit Union.
Who is invited to participate?
Kids from the ages of 5 to 18 that are budding young entreprenuers are welcome to register for the event.
What can I sell?
You must qualify for one of the types of vendors below:
Producer: A person who offers for sale produce which you have raised, grown, or produced on land which he or a member of his immediate family owns or leases.
Non-producer (Artisan Dealer): A person who offers for sale products which he makes.
What we accept:
• Handmade items
• Homemade food items (must follow Texas Cottage Food Laws)
• Homegrown/raised produce
What we do NOT accept:
• Resale/mass produced goods
• MLM Companies
How do I participate?
Just like adults, kids are asked to fill out a vendor form to help give them the real world experience of being a Farmers Market vendor. The first 20 booths have been sponsored by Texoma Community Credit Union! Applications and payments must be received no later than 12p, Thursday, October 5.
10 x 10 booth – $15 (50% discount from regular booth rates)
One KID BIZ will win $250 for a savings account at Texoma Community Credit Union, a website domain registration, 1 year of hosting, and an e-commerce page by Ear Level Marketing. A logo created by Whooann Creative Studio. Plus, a headshot or product shoot by Jeanette Charos Photography.
